Many elderly residents want to stay in their homes as they age, but may require assistance to do so. Bay Village Community Services is working with community groups, volunteers, and reputable home tradespeople and contractors to provide age-in-place services to our seniors.
Aging in Place assistance most often includes lawn or landscaping care, snow removal, routine home maintenance, and repair activities that can be completed by a volunteer. For these services, the Good Neighbor (PDF) program was created. In cases where more substantial work needs to be done to the home, from handyman services to adding an upstairs laundry room, first floor shower, etc. Community Services can help provide reputable resources appropriate for the scope of work.
To request assistance or find out more, complete the Aging in Place Assistance Form. We will review it and be in touch.
