Detective Sergeant Jay Elish

The day to day operations of the Bay Village Police Detective Bureau are supervised by Detective Sergeant Jay Elish.  He has been a member of the Department since 1993 and was appointed to the Detective Bureau in September 2001.  Along with his duties at the Bay Village Police Department, Detective Sergeant Elish is also the Commander of the Westshore Enforcement Bureau Crisis Negotiator Team.  He is a 1992 graduate of Kent State University with a Bachelor of Arts in Criminal Justice.

Detective Jameison Pochatek

Detective Jameison Pochatek has been a member of the  Department since December 2012.  In that time, he has maintained a subject control certificate and was part of the SWAT team for three and a half years.  Prior to joining the Bay Village Police Department, Detective Pochatek spent five years working for the City of Berea.  He graduated from Mercyhurst University with a Bachelor of Arts in History.

Detective Kelly Uber 

Detective Kelly Uber has been a member of the Department since June of 2016. Prior to becoming a police officer, Detective Uber was a police dispatcher for the Bay Village Police Department.  Detective Uber has maintained various roles within the Department, including Field Training Officer and Subject Control Instructor. Detective Uber is also an active member of the Westshore Enforcement Bureau Crisis Negotiator Team. Detective Uber has earned an Associates Degree in Criminal Justice.
