Bay Village Library

Bay Village LibraryThe Bay Village Branch of Cuyahoga County Public Library is a 15,000 square foot facility built in 1981. After extensive renovations in 1997, the building now houses over 100,000 items. Features include:

  • A meeting room with a capacity of 100 and a smaller conference room, both available to non-profit community groups.
  • A Discovery Garden, gift of former employee Mary Louise Herthneck, graces the front entrance.
  • A large, mixed medium mural featuring creatures from Aesop’s Fables welcomes families to the Children’s Room.

The library system offers a service for homebound customers called Library2You which enables qualified homebound customers to have books delivered to their doors.

Friends of the Library

The Friends of the Bay Village Branch Library are an active, enthusiastic group of volunteers who sponsor and man a quarterly used book sale. The proceeds from membership and the book sales support ongoing library programs as well as specials that include author visits, magic shows, historical presentations and storytellers.
