| Meals on Wheels
Home-delivered meals are available up to 5 days a week for Bay Village residents who due to illness or weakened condition, cannot shop or prepare their owns meals. The meals are prepared at Bradley Bay Health Center. Special diets can be accommodated. Two meals are delivered by volunteers, around noon; one is a hot meal (entrée, potato/vegetable, bread, dessert) and one a lighter meal (soup, half sandwich, fruit, milk, juice and dessert). The meals are delivered in microwavable containers. The cost is $4.50 per day. Billing is monthly. Meals are not delivered on City holidays. Criteria

Person must live in Bay Village. |
| 2. |
Adult who lives alone and is ill or recently discharged from the hospital. |
| 3. |
Elderly person who cannot cope with taking care of ill spouse. |
| 4. |
Persons who are not mentally competent to be around a stove. |
| 5. |
Person who has multiple ailments, such as difficulty breathing, severe arthritis, mobility problems and is unable to drive. |
| 6. |
Person residing with an adult relative who works outside of the home may not qualify. |
This program is intended to provide temporary assistance to persons recently discharged from the hospital or nursing home or recovering from an illness. Meals will be provided for an indefinite period of time to qualified individuals who are too debilitated by serious illness or condition to prepare meals.
Program

Two meals a day will be delivered between 11:30 and 12:30 Monday through Friday. A hot meal will be provided in a container, which can be microwaved. A lighter meal including a half sandwich and soup will be delivered at the same time. |

NO MEALS will be delivered on City of Bay Village holidays which are New Year's Day, President's Day, Good Friday, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Columbus Day, Veterans Day, Thanksgiving and Christmas. NO MEALS will be delivered on any day that the Bay Village Schools are closed because of extreme cold, ice or snow. |

The meals will be delivered by volunteer drivers. |

Cost of the meals is $4.50 per day per person. |

Billing will be once a month for meals received. A self-addressed envelope will be sent along with the bill. The recipient never has to pay when meals are delivered and drivers will not take payment. |

24-hour notice is required for cancellation of a meal, or as soon as it is known it is necessary. |

Volunteers
Volunteers are needed to run the Meals on Wheels program. Time commitments can be tailored to meet the volunteer's schedule. Call Shirley Hostetler, coordinator, at 899-3442 between 10:30 - 3:30 Monday thru Thursday for more information on volunteering for Meals on Wheels.
Volunteer Positions:
- Assist in Bradley Bay kitchen (no actual cooking required)
- Route coordinator at Dwyer Center
- Home delivery of meals (can be two people-one driver/one runner)
