As of today, May 26th, the following changes have taken place. Please note that social distancing of at least six feet apart from others is still being enforced.

  • The Tennis Courts at Bradley, Dover and Reese have all been opened.
  • The Pickleball Courts at Reese Park are open.
  • The Skate and Bike Park has been opened.
  • The ball fields at Bradley, Dover and Reese have been opened.
  • All Playgrounds at Bradley, Reese and Play In Bay remain closed.

Update on the Bay Village Family Aquatic Center and Pool Membership:

The goal of the Recreation Department is to have the pool opening no later than Friday, June 26th.

The City of Bay Village has been following the Ohio Department of Health and the Cuyahoga County Department of Health requirements and guidelines regarding COVID-19. The Governor of Ohio has mandated social distancing of six feet. In order to abide by these rules, the pool will be operating a little differently this year.

We will be having two hour sessions with a 30 minute cleaning session in between. Daily admission rates will remain the same: children under five years old and seniors are $3.00, students are $4.00 and adults are $5.00. The daily schedule will be posted on the website. You will be able to register on-line for a session at the pool 24 hours in advance. There will be lap swim hours followed by open swim from 10:30 am to 8:00 pm.

We are looking forward to providing the residents of Bay Village with a unique and fun experience at the Bay Village Family Aquatic Center this summer!

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The City of Bay Village and the Bay Recreation Department are following the mandates put into place by the Governor of Ohio to stop the spread of the Coronavirus. Until the Governor releases new health orders, we will continue to take precautionary measures for the safety of our residents. In compliance with the orders issued by the Director of the Ohio Department of Health, the following measures have been put into place:
All Bay Recreation activities and programs have been suspended until further notice. The Community Gym/Fitness Room is closed until further notice.
The Bay Recreation Office is currently closed, however staff can be reached by email or phone at 440-871-6755. The office has moved locations to the Community House (303 Cahoon Road).
Update Regarding Summer Program Registration:
The Bay Recreation Department will continue to accept registrations for our summer programs. However, we will not be accepting payment at this time. If you would like to register for a program, please call or email the Recreation Department. Once the program start dates have been determined, an invoice will be sent via email. Your registration will be completed upon payment. The Summer Program Guide is still available for viewing on our website.
After a great deal of review and discussion, we have made the decision to cancel our Tee-Ball and Sixers Baseball Programs for this year due to the COVID-19 pandemic. This is one of many difficult decisions we are all having to make as we work together to end the spread of the virus.
Exercise in public parks and outdoors is permitted if complying with the social distancing requirements (maintaining 6 feet between individuals).
The following areas are currently closed to the public: Playgrounds at Reese and Bradley Parks, Play-N-Bay, all basketball courts. School playgrounds are also closed.
In order to abide by Governor DeWine's and the Ohio Department of Health's order to prevent the spread of COVID-19 and maintain the Social Distancing Requirements, the North Coast Swim League has decided that the 2020 season will be suspended.
Session 1 & 2 Swim Lessons are currently postponed.
