Mark your calendar for "Cahoon in June"

The 50th annual "Cahoon in June" fine crafts, antiques and collectibles show takes place on June 15, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., in Cahoon Memorial Park.

Once again, the event is part of "Destination Bay." BAYarts holds its annual Art and Music Festival that day. The Village Project has scheduled its "Project Pedal" fundraiser for June 15. The Lake Erie Nature and Science Center is featuring special planetarium programs. Transportation runs between venues.

In addition to our many crafts and antiques vendors, "Cahoon in June" will feature a display of antique cars and boats and live musical entertainment throughout the day. Food concessions include Carhops Mobile Diner, Island Delights, Dolci d'Italia, Pap's Kettle Korn and Nothing Bundt Cakes. Rose Hill Museum, the Osborn Learning Center and the Cahoon Cabin will be open. Admission is free. Join the guided History Walk at 10:30 a.m. to learn about the history of Bay Village.

Vendors are still being accepted. Community groups are invited to participate with a table for their organization free of charge. Call Cynthia Eakin at 216-213-0312. Proceeds from "Cahoon in June" support Rose Hill Museum, the Osborn Learning Center and the society's student scholarships.
