As of April 1, 2012 the City of Bay Village will no longer participate in the Rewards Recycling Program offered by Recyclebank. As part of the new contract extension with Republic Industries the program was eliminated in an effort to reduce costs.

While some of our residents have been participating in the Rewards Recycling Program, the reduction in the cost to the city was quite substantial in comparison to the overall use of the Rewards Program.

Residents who have accumulated points prior to April 1, 2012 will be able to redeem those points through the end of 2012.

Residents are encouraged to continue with their recycling efforts in order to reduce the amount of trash collected and placed in the landfill each week. The reduction of solid waste will decrease our landfill fees and help establish lower rates for future contracts.
