Dwyer or Doctors Office?
If you have an HMO, you would be better off scheduling an appointment with your provider to receive your flu shot.
If your PRIMARY coverage is Medicare B, you may receive your shot at the Dwyer Center with NO FEE. Additional insurances that cover the flu shots are: PFFS Medicare Advantage Plans, Aetna covers the flu shot but NOT pneumonia, Humana Gold Choice, Premera Blue Cross covers the flue shot but NOT pneumonia, SummaCare, WellCare PFFS.
Some insurances will reimburse you for either a portion of or the full amount of the shot, but require that you pay the provider up front and submit paperwork to the insurance company in order to receive reimbursement.
For those who must pay in advance, checks may be made payable to the provider. Flu shots are $30 and Pneumonia is $70.
