Holiday Caring and Sharing

We are starting to prepare for our Holiday Assistance Programs.  If you are interested in "Adopting" a family, or learning more about the program, please contact lselig@cityofbayvillage.com .  Families "Wish Lists" should be available mid to late October.

If you or someone you know has had a difficult year this year, we would like to assist by providing some holiday cheer.  Please click HERE for an application for Holiday Caring and Sharing Assistance.  Families with children under 18 may receive gifts of toys, clothing, food, and household items.  Others may receive food, household items and perhaps gift cards. Applications may be completed and returned to Leslie Selig, 300 Bryson Lane, Bay Village, OH  44140.  Families identities and circumstances are kept confidential.  Must be a Bay Village Resident to receive assistance!

Donations

The Community Services Office gratefully accepts monetary donations for Senior Programs, Meals on Wheels, Senior Transportation, the Dwyer Emergency Fund, and Holiday Assistance.

Checks may be made payable to The City of Bay Village and dropped off at or mailed to the Community Services Department located at 300 Bryson Lane, Bay Village, OH  44140.  Gift cards to local stores are also appreciated, and passed directly on to residents needing assistance.

The Community Services Department accepts non-perishable food donations all year long which are given directly to low or fixed income senior residents in need.

October through December, non-perishable food items, cleaning supplies, paper products, personal hygiene items etc. are collected and distributed to Bay residents through our holiday assistance programs.  Coats, boots, and toys are also collected as part of the Adopt-A-Family Program.

Contact Director Leslie Selig at lselig@cityofbayvillage.com for information or questions about any of these programs.  If you or anyone you know has had a difficult year and could use assistance especially around the holidays, please don't hesitate to contact us.  We would like to help.

The Community Services Staff- on behalf of all residents assisted- would like to extend our sincerest appreciation to the generous residents, schools, clubs, and businesses who donate money, products, services and time to assist our residents.  Thank you so very much!
